Care Requirements
Care Requirements
Care Requirements:
Lighting: Moderate to strong lighting is essential. High PAR options like T5s or high-end LEDs (around 100-200 PAR) are suitable. Gradually acclimate the coral to higher light levels.
Water Flow: Provide low to medium flow (around 40 to 100 times turnover). A gyre or pulsing flow type works best, allowing the tentacles
to gently pulse with the current. Too much flow can harm the coral.
Water Parameters:
Calcium: 400-450 ppm
Alkalinity: 8-10dKH
Phosphates: 0.01-0.05
Magnesium: 1350-1500
Temperature: 78°F - 80°F (25°C - 27°C)
Salinity/Specific Gravity: 1.023 - 1.025

Nutrition:
Turbinaria are not picky eaters and will feed on Brine Shrimp, Mysis Shrimp and other small particle foods. Can be spot fed with low flow or powerheads turned off temporarily, 5-15 min.
Propagation Tips
Propagation Tips
Propagation:
To propagate this coral, it is best to use a diamond blade saw or bone cutting snips. Place freshly cut frags in the middle or bottom of a mature tank with high flow, not directly on them as to damage tissue. When gluing to plug, use a towel to dry off the underside to allow glue to bond.
